快速成型的应用主要体现在以下几个方面：

1、新产品开发过程中的设计验证与功能验证。RP技术可快速地将产品设计的CAD模型转换成物理实物模型，方便地验证设计人员的设计思想和产品结构的合理性、可装配性、美观性，发现设计中的问题可及时修改。
